Installing AVR and DataGate for IBM i

AVR is easily installed by selecting the appropriate options after downloading it from ASNA's website.  An installation, or Setup program will decompress and install the files in the appropriate directories.

Installing AVR Classic 5.0 will also automatically install Release 11.0 of DataGate for IBM i.

When you install Visual RPG 5.0 on a system in which Visual RPG has never been installed before, you are automatically given a "trial" version of AVR. A trial version is good for approximately 30 days, so you do not need to enter a license key until the product is purchased and you have received a permanent license key from ASNA. Refer to ASNA Registration Assistant help file for further information on licensing a product.
