ASP Session Timeout Considerations

This topic describes a few important considerations for handling ASP session timeouts.

  1. Applications which use DDM may be able to avert some potential issues by having their jobs drop the DDM conversations. This can be set by issuing the following command when the job starts:
    • CHGJOB DDMCNV(*DROP)
  2. If the developer is using named devices it's highly recommended that the system value QDEVRCYACN be set to either *ENDJOB or *ENDJOBNOLIST.
