Installation Prerequisites

This document describes the hardware and software you will need to use ASNA Browser Terminal.

The requirements for ASNA Browser Terminal are:

Hardware requirements:

• Windows 7, Windows 8.x, Windows 10, or Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, or 2016. Must have at least 2MB of memory.
• IBM i V6R1 or Higher
• ASNA DataGate for IBM i

Software requirements on the Web Server:

• ASPX Editor – Altering anything more than superficial aspects of BTerm requires the ability to edit .aspx pages. Any text editor (NotePad++, MS Notepad) can be used for this.
• Internet Information Services and ASP.NET 4.5 – IIS and ASP.NET 4.5 must both be activated.
• ASNA Browser Terminal – This is the software for BTerm.

Software requirements on the IBM i

• IBM i V6R1 or higher
• ASNA DataGate for IBM i – This provides access to the IBM i for reading display file and message file definitions.

Software requirements for end users:

• Web browser – ASNA Browser Terminal can produce web pages compatible with any mobile or desktop browser, but they've been tested to function best in the following environments:
