ASNA WingsRPG™ Reference Manual

Creating a Flight Plan

Wings Flight Plans are created using Visual Studio's point and click interface, like most other integrated files and solutions. Flight plans can be created either as a part of a project or solution (which is recommended for most uses of Flight Plans) or as stand-alone files (which is only recommended if you intend to use the Flight Plan to construct multiple web sites).

To create a stand-alone Flight Plan:

  1. Use the button labelled File in the upper left hand corner of the Visual Studio window.
  2. A drop-down menu will appear, choose New and then File.
  3. The New File dialog will open asking for the file type to create; select ASNA Wings Flight Plan, then click OK.
  4. An empty Flight Plan file (.wflp) will open in a Flight Plan window, to populate it with Source Members click the Add Sources button.

Creating a Flight Plan integrated into a solution or project uses the same steps, users need only open a solution first and click the Add New Item button to open the New Item dialog, then select ASNA Wings Flight Plan and click Open.
