Ensure your Program is ILE RPG with External WRKSTN Definitions

This topic discusses the basic prerequisites of ensuring your RPG program is compatible with Wings.

In order to function with Wings, your program must be in RPG ILE. Fortunately, the transition from RPG/400 to RPG ILE is automated in Wings Flight Plans, so if you use that utility, it'll be taken care of automatically. Otherwise, you may need to update them manually.

Additionally, all programs to be used with wings must have external WRKSTN definitions. If the programs do not have external WRKSTN definitions they simply will not work with Wings.
