The ASNA Monarch Family
While ASNA Wings is a stand-alone product, it is also part of the larger Monarch family of ASNA software. The Monarch family has three main members:
- Monarch — An RPG to .NET migration suite, introduced in 2004.
- Wings — An RPG modernization tool, introduced in 2010.
- Mobile RPG — ASNA's IBM i-to-Mobile solution.
Certain components are shared between the members of this family, notably the Monarch Framework: the components and controls that allow the Monarch family to connect with and modify Microsoft's Visual Studio. Many controls used in Wings (DdsButton and DdsLink for example) are available to Mobile RPG and Monarch users, and vice versa. Below is a list of the controls that are not shared:
