ASNA WingsRPG™ Reference Manual

Developing a Web Site

An ASNA Wings application is essentially a web site. The site contains Wings ASPX files that represent enhanced Display Files used by the IBM i RPG application. To start a new ASNA Wings application ensure that the .NET Framework 4.0 is selected from the dropdown list, and open the "New Web Site" dialog in Visual Studio. In the dialog, select your preferred programming language from Visual RPG, C#, or Visual Basic, and then select the ASNA Wings Web Site template. Select the location for your web site and press OK. After a few seconds the starting web site will be ready. The other topics in this section provide more detail about creating and customizing a web site with Wings.
